The amount of value one engineer can create has increased sharply. That does not retire the profession. It retires the habit of shipping generated code nobody can defend.
New engineers can hide behind tools and skip fundamentals. Learning still takes patience. Software architects stay, because they sit between what the business needs, which tools fit that use, and how AI is allowed to use those tools to finish the job.
If a team refuses to use AI, or uses it only to produce volume they cannot review, they are the ones the name needles. The work that remains is judgment.

How we work
Four commitments.
- Process over generation
- A ticket with acceptance criteria, a review, and a ship gate does not make AI slower. It makes the output defensible. Volume without those steps is how teams spend the savings on rework.
- Enforcement where the agent cannot reach
- A gate that lives in the model's context is a suggestion. The checks that block a change belong in continuous integration, so they hold even when a model declines to cooperate.
- Measure in the customer's repository
- We do not lead with a productivity multiple. We baseline cycle time, change failure rate, and code turnover in your code, then report against it.
- Ship named products only
- Everything on this site exists and runs. Roadmap items stay on the roadmap until they are real.
